Refund Policy
Last updated: August 26, 2026
We want refunds to feel fair and easy to understand. Here’s how Nilaki handles them.
1. The core rule
We refund unused credits only, including the markup you paid for those credits.
In plain English: if you paid for credits and you haven’t used them yet, you can ask for that unused value back. Once credits have been spent on a successful generation, that portion isn’t refundable.
2. What “unused” means
- Credits still sitting in your balance that haven’t powered a completed generation are unused.
- Credits deducted for a generation that finished successfully are used.
- If a generation fails on our side, we shouldn’t take credits for it. If that ever happens anyway, tell us and we’ll put them back.
3. Subscriptions and cancellation
When you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you’ve already paid for.
If you request a refund for unused credits left in that period, we’ll calculate the refund from what you paid for those remaining credits (your purchase price, including our markup, not a wholesale cost). Used credits stay non refundable.
4. Overage / top ups
Extra credits you buy beyond your plan follow the same rule: unused top up credits can be refunded at what you paid for them; used ones cannot.
5. Billing mistakes
If something looks wrong (a duplicate charge, a charge after you cancelled, or a charge for something you couldn’t use because of a Nilaki side outage), email us within 14 days of the charge. We’ll dig in and make it right when the mistake is on us.
6. How to ask for a refund
Email hello@nilaki.com with:
- The email on your Nilaki account
- What you’d like refunded (and roughly when you were charged)
- A short note about why
We aim to reply within 5 business days. Approved refunds go back through the original payment method.
7. Custom or enterprise deals
If you have a custom package with different written terms, those terms win for that deal. Everything else on this page still applies unless we agree otherwise in writing.
8. Questions
We’re human. If you’re unsure whether something qualifies, just ask: hello@nilaki.com.
