Clone a voice in Nilaki
Record or upload a clean sample, confirm you have the right to clone it, and attach the voice to an avatar for Studio speech.

Voices live under Voices. Studio MiniMax speech uses a library voice, not Kling’s built-in TTS.
Steps
- Open Voices.
- Record in the browser or upload a short, dry sample (a few clean sentences, little music).
- Confirm you have the right to clone that voice. That consent is stored now.
- Clone. Credits debit when the provider accepts the sample.
- Preview a line if you want to hear it. Preview is a separate, smaller charge.
- Open the avatar and link this voice, or pick the voice in Studio when you generate.
Sample quality
- Prefer speech you recorded, not a song or a podcast with two people.
- Keep it under the upload limit the form shows.
- If clone fails, credits for that attempt are refunded when the provider errors.
In Studio
Talking head needs a voice and a spoken line. Hook + Demo only needs them when Voice is switched on.
FAQ
How much does a clone cost?
One new clone uses the MiniMax voice-clone rate (1,500 credits). Preview speech uses a cheaper per-character TTS rate.
Can I import a clone from a zip?
Import can recreate a voice only if you confirm consent again. Consent is never copied from the file.
